Outplacement Support – What we can offer
Better West Midlands can provide, free of charge, a tailored outplacement service to support the employer and those affected by redundancy. We can offer support for your employees either during works time or after hours. This can be delivered on-site to minimise disruption in the business. The individual modules can be tailored to suit your needs and include:
CV Preparation
How to prepare and develop a personalised CV (A CV can be prepared for those
individuals who do not have the necessary skills).
Training in interview techniques
How to make the most of job interviews.
How to market yourself.
Training in job search skills
Different approaches to job search using the internet, newspapers and visiting the
jobcentre etc.
Core literacy and numeracy training
Includes initial assessment of an individuals needs and the level of support required.
An onsite job shop
Job vacancies support, including form filling and other general queries.
Process
- Project team make initial contact with organisations HR department
- Project Team make presentation onsite to those affected. Individuals seeking support from the project register their interest.
- Individuals receive IAG onsite from trained Advisor with an action plan developed at this meeting
- Project Team arranges training/support as appropriate.
- Individuals receive ongoing support from the Project Team E.g. C.V Development, Interview Techniques, Career Guidance, Job Search, Free Training etc.
